If you're a fan of Angela's and in the mood for a completely unique movie, check out "The Circle." Although it's filmed in HD and not on film, I personally didn't find that a detraction -- it's so ambitious and engrossing that after a while, you don't notice. Should be noted that if you have an ADD personality and don't like dialog-driven, play-like films, you should avoid this one like the plague. The 98 minute film is shot with one camera, in one take, and follows Bettis and a hitman (Scott Cohen, "The 10th Kingdom") who's been hired to kill her husband. Remarkably, there's a flashback sequence, a driving scene, a labyrinth-like lair of the villain -- unless you're paying attention to the camera, it's easy to forget that there are no cuts. In addition to having to remember all of her lines and hit every mark, Angela gives an emotionally draining performance, which makes the film even more remarkable. Overlooking a few minor goofs (crew reflected in windows, etc.) the only downside in my book is that the twist ending is alluded to a little too much, making it less surprising than it should be.
